screaming oppression

i was never told
how to run my life
how to survive in this jungle
but what about you?
did you run away from home
crying, wide-eyed as you escaped,
screaming oppression at the unhearing proletariat
covered in blankets covered in mold
huddled open-toed on the sidewalk
crafting never-to-be-seen works of rage?
thus is my dream,
never to be fulfilled,
for as long as i live
for the hating eyes in the wild
push you down like a bear striking a fish,
grasping, the tail tangles, torrential stream
seemingly holds it back, and in a flash
the bear engulfs it whole
for that is an apt metaphor
for life as an unfitting globulated mass
identified as human and punished accordingly
