Dbm E B Gb
i like to sit and gaze away the days when love shines down on every-
body and it's lovely how their eyes light up with joy, but to
me it's just a picture, just a tangled photograph, and after
glancing so discreetly i move on

Dbm E B Gb
protecting every pattern from an ambush like none other i see
threats where others only see good fortune and my
eyes are ever vigilant, my hands are tied with power to
build myself inside a tower with a moat of sand

(to be continued... needs a chorus! and another verse or two.)

less definite than previous verses:

chorus:
A B Dbm E
images and words i can't develop
A B E A->E
always help to stifle me
A B Dbm E
and i can't defend my honor
A B Dbm Ab
in a world without the right to honesty

i like to ponder ways in which the air can change the path
of cupid's arrow flying swiftly through it
and wonder when the day will come that circumstance agrees
to redirect that arrow into me

images and words i can't develop
always help to stifle me
and i can't defend my honor
in a world without the right to honesty

i need you to rescue me
from this cavernous expanse
my rut of mediocrity
will end with our romance
my rut of mediocrity
will end with our romance
